Donating eyewear is one of the best ways to help Shared Vision. We simply ask that all donations meet our Durability and Dignity Standard.

D2 Durability and Dignity

Consider this concept our filter of excellence. While we believe that good lenses and a fine tuned prescription are key, we want every recipient to receive eyewear that adds dignity to their life. This means that eyewear should meet current style standards, and it must be durable without defect.

We believe that being able to provide quality frames in contemporary styles to those in need not only adds to their immediate need for improved vision, but also enhances their dignity and allows them to feel not forgotten.

Financial Donations

Creating a full-circle connection with our financial donors, is a top priority for our team. We do this by connecting the donor with the story of those impacted. We believe a by-product of this full-circle concept will create the intrinsic drive to share that story with others and both lives will be enhanced.

Financial contributions help the purchase of eyewear for Shared Vision's campaigns and pays for the travel expenses of the aid workers. We are a 100% volunteer-based organization. Since we have no paid positions, all donated funds go directly to those in need either in product or the costs to get care to them. Shared Vision is a 501c3 and all financial contributions are tax deductible.

Physician Time Donation

All exams are provided by optometrists who are donating their time. If you are an optometrist or ophthalmologist interested in providing an exam, or would like to get in touch with a partnering physician, click here.

Amazon Smile

When you purchase items through AmazonSmile, the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price to Shared Vision International. Buy the products you typically purchase on, and a portion of the purchase will help distribute eyewear to those who need it.

SVI Network

Generosity can be seen throughout the optometric industry. We see it, and those receiving our services experience it. The SVI Network was created as a bridge to bring together our combined domestic resources to those in need.

It would not be possible to provide the eyewear and services we do without our SVI Network partners and contributors. Several key partners across the US have generously and gladly given their time, funding and new-product donations in ways that have astounded our board.

We are always looking for partner organizations to be a part of our network. If you are a doctor, optical representative, or are interested in volunteering, please contact us.

Here are some of the partner organizations that we are proud to work with. If you are interested in joining the cause, please contact us.
